I'm not sure whether glory or masterpoints is first on the list, but I know learning to play better is definitely last. One advantage of bad bidding is that you get practice at playing atrocious contracts.

February 5, 2009 Pat Feldhusen of Narrowsburg, NY who played for years in Honesdale and Scranton died on Saturday, January 24. Pat also directed games in Honesdale and had over 1200 masterpoints. Pat was one of the nicest people I have known. The last time she played in Honesdale was in November of 2007. I am sure she will be missed. OBITUARY February 4, 2009 Next Wednesday, February 11 at 10:00 AM, there will be a memorial game and luncheon in Memory of Mary Louise Paolucci at The Castle Inn in Dallas. There will be no charge for the Lunch or Game, it is being hosted by Tom Myers. Anyone who wishes to make a memoral donation in Mary Louise's honor to Candy's place may do so at the game. February 3, 2009 The Tuesday Evening Stroudsburg Bridge Club has moved to Parish Hall of Christ Episcopal Church, 205 North 7th Street, Stroudsburg with the game starting at 6:30. February 2, 2009 This Past Saturday we lost one of my favorite bridge players. . . more (01/07/2009) Calling all Unit 120 bridge players! Never will you have a more convenient place to try to earn those coveted gold points than in Scranton during the first week in March. That’s when our Tournament Chair Ray Depew and his talented team of volunteers will present the Steamtown Regional at the Scranton Hilton (see schedule elsewhere on this site as well as in latest “4 Spot”). There are flighted knockouts all week and special sessions daily for intermediate/newcomers. Get your partner and teammates together now and make your plans. If you’d like to help, volunteers are needed 1 ½ hours before each session for various tasks. All desks are closed during game times, so you won’t miss a hand.
